Wow. We really need to keep up with the blog—where has the time gone?! It feels like just yesterday we were planning our first-ever Lacey Night Market, and now I’m sitting here writing about Season 2.
In 2024, we put pen to paper and finalized a contract with the City of Lacey to host and curate a series of community events at The Lacey Depot. Let me tell you, that moment was huge. It wasn’t just about locking in a venue—it was about validation. It felt like all the hard work, late nights, and dedication had finally been noticed.
But let’s be real—those first three months were tough. Starting a new event is one thing, but trying to revamp and rebuild after past events left their mark? That was a whole other challenge. We had to redefine the experience at The Depot, build trust, and prove that this night market was something fresh, exciting, and worth showing up for.
And we didn’t take that lightly. We hustled. We stayed active in the community, showed up at other events, and went all in on social media marketing. By mid-August, we saw the shift—the energy changed. People started engaging, sharing, showing up, and suddenly, the Lacey Night Market wasn’t just an event anymore—it was a movement. That feeling of connection, growth, and community spirit? Unreal.
We wrapped up Season 1 on an incredible note, including an amazing Lacey Holiday Market to close out the year. And now? We’re back. We’ve signed a multi-year contract with the City of Lacey, which means we’re here to stay—and we’re bringing bigger events, more activities, more themes, and even more reasons for you to come experience the magic.
This year already feels promising, and I couldn’t be more excited to kick off Season 2.
